Our Services

Our motto is ‘Roofing the Right Way’

The Right Material

A good roof protects everything underneath it. Paying close attention to what options are available and how they perform will serve you well in getting a roof that’s durable, long lasting and economical. It’s important to understand what you’re getting into (or under) so you can maximize the return on your investment. Many materials are available that allow you to tailor your choice based on what factor is most important to you, be it budget, longevity, style or a combination of all three. You should also be aware of the fact that the roof covering (the shingles or sheet metal) is part of a larger roofing system. That system includes other important items like sheathing, underlayment, flashing and similar provisions necessary for a leak-proof roof. Proper insulation and ventilation also play an important role in the roofing system. Quality material is critical in the longevity of your roof. We partner with manufacturers that offer the finest quality material in the industry with a name you can trust. We will not use a more economical material to cut costs; we only use the manufacturer’s recommended accessories in order to validate their warranty. A good roof protects everything underneath it. Pay close attention to what’s available and how they perform.

What We Do

Education

At JDM Roofing, we do more than repairs and installations; we are a free source of education for anyone in the market for a new roof. We can provide you with the knowledge you need understand the roofing process, the misconceptions about roofing, and the manufacturer’s warranties on their products.

Ask yourself “What am I getting for the money I’m paying for my roof”? Most of you have probably heard of Owens Corning, CertainTeed, Tamko, or GAF and that they all offer some type of warranty on their products, but do you know the conditions of those warranties. I believe it would surprise you to know that your warranty could be void the minute it is installed. Each company has installation requirements for their products and if those requirements are not met, the warranty becomes void upon installation.

This is an area where installation and product knowledge are essential. We want everyone in the market for a new roof informed about the products that are being installed as well as the installation process and why it is important for the life of your roof.

Having the public educated about the roofing process is our number one goal. Roofing contractors are not required to be licensed within the State of Texas, nor are they required to carry insurance. We can assist you with the questions you need to ask to insure you are receiving the best service from your preferred contractor. Education is the best way for you to make an informed decision about the products that will be installed and to make sure you are protected in the event of an accident.

We would be happy to answer any questions you may have, even if another company is installing your roof. Our number one priority is to make sure that you, as a homeowner, are well informed and educated about one of the biggest investments you make for your home.

Call us today if there are any questions you have and we’ll be happy to help you in any way we can.

Types of Roofing

Composition Shingles

3-Tab Shingles – This type of shingle is an asphalt-based product that works by shedding water to the shingle They have three individual 12” wide tabs and are the typical rectangular shingle that you most commonly see. 3-Tab shingles come with a 25 year limited warranty.

Architectural Shingles – This type of shingle is actually two asphalt shingle strips that have been laminated together to form a shingle. The tabs on these shingles are of varying widths and have slightly different shades of color to give a more dimensional appearance. Also in this category are designer shingles made to mimic the look of wood shake, slate and tile. Architectural shingles come in a 30 year, 50 year or lifetime limited warranty.

Metal Roofing

The primary types of Steel Roofing are Galvanized & Galvalume.

Galvanized Steel is manufactured by using a layer of Zinc to protect an inner layer of steel from corrosion. This coating helps extend the life of a steel panel and slow the corrosion process. This is the type of steel used when making painted panels and is the most common form of Steel Roofing material.

Galvalume Steel is similar to Galvanized, but Galvalume uses a combination of Aluminum and Zinc coating. Galvalume has the traditional “galvanized metal” look and is not painted. Both of these types of steel are available in many different panel types. The most common panel types are:

  • PBR Panel
  • PBU Panel
  • Panel Lock Plus
  • 1” Nail Strip (Concealed fasteners, commonly referred to as “Raised Seam”.)
  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
